REVIEW | The Land's Whisper by Monica Lee Kennedy.

The Land's Whisper by Monica Lee Kennedy was read 21 of 2016! I was sent this book by the author in exchange for an honest review and I am so glad I accepted this request! I gave it a 4.5 out of 5 stars, and it was such an interesting story! I also filmed a review on Youtube that you can check out here.

The Land's Whisper's very tiny plot summary on the back is, "The land itself is alive. It sees. It thinks. It speaks." Just from that, I was ready.  The story follows Brenol and Darsey, a 14 year old boy and a man who feels like Brenol is more like a son to him than anything else.  Together they end up on an adventure in a new land where the land is personified and they have to save a girl together.

One of my favorite things about this story is that the relationship it focuses on is that between Brenol and Darsey, a father-son pairing and that of Brenol and an individual we meet in the story which is more of a friendship but also that of teacher-student.

There's also a VERY creepy situation that happens in this book that I was not expecting at all and oh my god I got the chills so bad when reading it!

The sequel in this series, The Parting Breath Series, is called Eyes in the Water and it was published May 12, 2016. I cannot wait to pick it up!

Are you planning to check this book out? BECAUSE YOU SHOULD. Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
