Let me start off by prefacing that i didn't attempt to separate the series. If I had to do this list by book instead of series numbers 1-5 (including the novellas) would be all Sarah J Maas books soon I put them all together.
10. The Selection Series - Kiera Cass
This series was a very entertaining read, and while sometimes I wanted to strangle our main character with my bare hands, I did love these books. I have yet to read The Heir, but I plan to do so in the coming year.
9. Silver Linings Playbook - Matthew Quick
I read this book for the winter biannual bibliothon at the beginning of January and it was hilarious while dealing with serious issues and that's what made it so great. I did however have trouble removing what I knew from the movie adaptation while I was reading. I as I usually do wish I'd read it first.
8. Life and Death - Stephanie Meyer
If anyone is surprised that this made my top 10, where have you been?? I loved this book so much it was like reading an even more amazing version of Twilight!! And I was a twihard back in the day, believe me!
7. Maybe Someday - Colleen Hoover
My first and only Colleen Hoover book so far. God this book was often. I loved the little twist it had in the story, it was very exciting! I can't wait to read more Colleen Hoover, however this genre is definitely something I have to be in the mood for. I'm usually more into fantasy and dystopian.
6. Volition - Lily Paradis
Guys if you're a Colleen Hoover fan, you need to jump on the Lily Paradis train. This is her second novel and it was GLORIOUS. It's duel perspective and made me have all the feels.
5. The Program - Suzanne Young
This book killed me. This book is a HUGE trigger warning for depression and suicide and the first third of the book was definitely hard to read. But I loved it for that, if that makes any sense. I can't wait to read the sequel.
4. Ignite - Lily Paradis
Yes Lily has only written two books in her whole career. Yes they both made it on my top 10. Lily Paradis is bae. Read her books. This one really resonated with me because I felt very connected to the main character and what she was going through.
3. The Infernal Devices - Cassandra Clare
THESE BOOKS MAN. Don't get me wrong I loved The Mortal Instruments too. BUT THESE ONES MADE ME HAVE MORE FEELINGS. I also loved the time period in these books.
2. All the Bright Places - Jennifer Niven.
Okay this is another contemporary that deals with depression and suicide so trigger warning here. Once again, this book made my heart hurt for the characters, however it was a very different book than the program.
1. The Throne of Glass Series (including the Novellas) - Sarah J Maas
Are we surprised? I should think not. Assassins. Bad ass women. Betrayal. Kings & Queens. Magic. Fae. This series is perfect!
What were your favorite books of 2015?

WHY IS SAM PEPPER STILL ON YOUTUBE.
It baffles me that we still have to talk about this. It disgusts me that a person can make money doing this on a platform that I have come to love, support, and actively participate on.
Sam Pepper.
In case you're unaware of who that is, he's a guy that posts prank videos on Youtube. Last year he was banned from the biggest youtube convention there is, VidCon, because he was making videos of essentially assaulting women and a young girl also came out and said that she was raped by this vile human being.
But that wasn't enough to get him kicked off Youtube, where he makes money doing this shit.
Then on November 30, Sam Pepper uploaded a new prank video.
He faked murdering someone in front of their best friend. HAHA SO FUNNY.
I just got chills writing that.
Because I am ashamed to be a youtuber and to participate on a platform that supports this type of content.
And what drives me crazy is that Youtube has a reason to delete his content. This is the list of Youtube's community guidelines.
In my opinion he violates at least one of the sets of guidelines, if not more.
I signed the petition to get Sam Pepper's account deleted and hope you all will too.
Click here to read and sign.
I haven't seen a Youtube statement from the company in regards to this whole thing, but I'm very interested to see what the reaction will be.
I have not posted a link to the video or his channel because I don't want to support traffic on his channel. So I ask that you don't head over there to watch. Google it, read articles about it, do your research if you're not sure if he's worthy of this much back lash. But don't support him by watching his videos. That's money in his pocket.
I'm really a little shocked and don't know really what to say. My opinion is obviously negative and I am outright angry about this. But other than that I can't articulate anything. This is ridiculous that we even have something like this to talk about. It shouldn't exist to talk about.

Nanowrimo FAIL.
So I decided to participate in Nanowrimo for the first time this year.
In case you don't know what Nanowrimo is, it stands for National Novel Writing Month and its this huge event where people try to write a fifty thousand word first draft of a novel in one month (November).
I decided to join because it sounded like fun and I had been working on a story the last couple months every once in a while and wanted to push myself to focus on it a little bit more.
The main problem that I experienced this month while trying to participate was school. This was the month right before finals so I had papers to write and last minute assignments to do before the semester headed into studying for finals. I found that I just didn't have the time to write, and when I did have time to do so I was tired of staring at a screen.
I also had some random stressful events happen this month that did NOT help my focus! My car ended up being in the shop for TWO WEEKS and I had to make a trip to the ER for a kidney infection all within days of each other! Plus one of my professors surprised us with a seven page paper due two weeks before it originally was supposed to be due!
Not to mention the holiday, which I wanted to spend with my family.
So yeah, this month was insane and it left me with only six thousand words of that story instead of fifty thousand.
HOWEVER I'm so proud of those six thousand words. I've realized that I really do love writing fiction, which I never thought of before these past few months and I look forward to CAMP NANO in the summer, because I think the timing will be better for me!

MOVIE REVIEW | The Martian
I went and saw The Martian last night with my boyfriend and I absolutely loved it.
I did read the book (listened to it on audiobook) a couple months ago so I knew what was coming. I have to say that I was disappointed with the previews because it told you the entire story and all the surprises I don't understand why they did that but what can you do.
With that aside, walking into the theater I was a little nervous about Matt Damon. Mark Watney (the main character) is very funny in the books - sarcastic mostly but he made me laugh throughout the story - and I was nervous about Matt Damon making the role too serious. The story is intense, I mean he was left on Mars alone for over a year (almost two? more than two?) but there are so many funny moments in the book I didn't want those to get lost.
And he pulled it off! The movie did do a great job of including other funny people. Jessica Chastain's character, the commander of the Hermes ship, is also hilarious along with most of the team. Vincent Kapoor also has many moments with the girl who finds Watney via satellite that made me giggle. So overall I think they did a great job mixing humor with the intensity of the story.
I was also surprised by the casting of Kristin Wiig. She plays Annie, the person overseeing all of the press in relation to NASA and the Mark Watney situation, and she does have a really good line toward the beginning which I loved but they really cut down her role a lot in the movie. In the book she is constantly pointing out things and how the people of the world will see the choices being made, but for the most part she's just a background figure in the movie, and I wish they had utilized her more.
The one thing I didn't like about the book was the long drawn out explanations of how things worked and how Mark Watney was going to do things to help him survive. That got a little old and a little boring. So I was glad to see that a lot of that was cut out; the movie was much faster paced than the book and I enjoyed that!
I was disappointed that they took out one of the most intense parts of the book - the storm that Watney drives into on his way to the Hermes 4 mav in the crater. That was probably the part of the book where I was most anxious while reading and they completely cut it. Obviously I understand that time was a key factor in this - they didn't need a three hour movie - and so I get WHY it wasn't in it, but I'm also so sad that THAT is what they chose to get rid of.
This movie gets a 5 star rating for me, I would probably see it again in theater!
p.s. I saw it in 3D which I usually hate but they didn't over utilize the 3D aspects, it just barely added a little depth and that was pretty cool.

TV REVIEW | American Horror Story: Hotel (S5E1)
So as always American Horror Story has been pumping us up for the season premiere of "Hotel" with sneak peaks, small excerpts, and the introduction credits.
I was so ready for this show to prove itself.
SOME BACKSTORY.
I binge watched Seasons 1 & 2 right before "Coven" premiered and I loved them both so much. They both are amazing seasons!
And then "Coven" happened and I wanted so badly to love it but it was a bit of a let down. My favorite scenes were the scenes of the past about Kathy Bates' character, and then they stopped doing that and it was just a little lame.
And then "Freak Show" happened and once again I had high hopes for redemption! They were going to do great! That credit introduction is divine. I was ready to be creeped out!
And it just wasn't that creepy. Did it even have a real plot line? Questionable.
So here I am waiting for "Hotel" wondering if AHS can redeem itself after two (in my opinion) horrible seasons in a row. But my main issue with the last two seasons was the weird Jessica Lange is singing and is also the same exact character in both and she's not in this season so maybe I have hope for a new plot line. -- literal jumbled thoughts heading into S5E1.
(Spoilers Ahead.)
So I watched episode one of AHS: Hotel. And we're getting some definite creepy "wtf" moments and then the detective comes into a crime scene and its so cheesy how he notices things I actually rolled my eyes. AND THE DUDE WAS STILL ALIVE UNDER THE GIRL'S DEAD BODY and the police are all just chillin' like what? That whole scene just destroyed the show because I was completely taken out of the story because its not even close to how real life works.
And then this detective just continues to be a shitty actor as he talks to his daughter on FaceTime (I THOUGHT THIS SEASON WAS GOING TO BE SET IN THE PAST. WHY DO THEY HAVE IPHONES) and I continued to roll my eyes.
Then we get Lady GaGa. Her introduction without seeing her face at first was pretty damn cool. And the not talking the entire time their picking up that couple at the movie and then taking them to their suite. That whole little spot was perfect. And then they just killed them with their pointy nails AND I LAUGHED. AHS is NOT supposed to make me LAUGH.
So then I'm thinking well is this season supposed to be campy? with the detective in the crime scene and then this I'm thinking that could be a possibility so at least they're doing it right even if I hate it.
The only part of the entire episode that gave me chills was when we see that the son of the detective went missing at the carousel. That was good.
But then it ends with that weird video game room (and GaGa trying to act) and I'm still upset that this isn't set in the past. Like MOST of the show feels like this is not present day and then they show us ear buds and a video game room (where all they play is tetris and other 80's games what is happening why)
All I can say is Sarah Paulsen was great and I don't understand why she's doing this show anymore or why they haven't decided to use her as the main character because she's fucking amazing.
Sooooo what did you think of the episode?

August Favorites 2015
Favorite Book
CLOCKWORK PRINCE by CASSANDRA CLARE
guys. I just can't handle anything in this story. How did you people do it when you read these when they first came out because THOSE ENDINGS kill me every time. They are such intense cliff hangers that I can't fathom not picking up the next book in the series right after!
As for who do I ship Tessa with because I KNOW people will think its blasphemous not to discuss this question when I talk about this book.... I DONT KNOW. I love Jem and Will so equally for such different reasons that I really want Tessa to end up with both. Like polyamory is a thing so it could happen.
Favorite Movie
I'm going to choose to movies for this month because they were very different genres.
The first was Trainwreck with Amy Schumer. Oh my god I almost died because I couldn't breather because I was laughing so hard throughout the movie. I love the awkward humor where its mostly funny not because of some joke the actor said but more about the situation and how they're reacting to it. FANTASTIC.
The second one I just went and saw last weekend and it is The Gift. This movie was SO GOOD. I thought it was going to be way more jumpy than it was so I was apprehensive about seeing it in the theater but it didn't have too many scenes like that. Instead it was much more a thriller about who exactly is the problematic character in this scenario. I loved how the story kept you in suspense about who really is the fucked up person and who was the victim, that was awesome. I do have to say that I wasn't fond of the ending; it's not that it felt like we needed more it just wasn't happy. I don't like unhappy endings but that's just me.
Favorite TV Show
Okay I'm going to talk about a new show and then I'm going to talk about one that I'm rewatching. If you follow me on twitter you probably can guess what the second one is lol
So I have been LOVING The Fall on Netflix. Its about a cop trying to catch the serial killer but you also get to know the person who is doing the killing. You watch him with his family as well as with his victims while watching the cop investigating the murders.
It has some great actors in it as well but mostly unknown Irish actors because it's set in Northern Ireland. JAMIE DORNAN plays the serial killer and I can't handle that information its too perfect for my brain to make sense of. And the woman who plays the main investigator is from Hannibal, another favorite tv show of mine.
Okay I gotta talk about Grey's Anatomy. I'm sorry I'll keep it short but I LOVE THIS TV SHOW SO MUCH. Sometimes I question my sanity because I care about these characters so much I have to wonder if I'm not aware that they're not real. Like i love it TOO MUCH.
Favorite Thing I've Bought or Received
This may be weird but my sister went to Hawaii this month and bought me a souvenier. They're these PLASTIC shoes that look like Jesus sandals and I've wanted a pair literally for years since my friend went to Hawaii and got a pair for herself. They're plastic but SO COMFORTABLE and I have to say... Matt hates them and that makes me giddy with evil excitement. LOL. I'll link a picture here from instagram as soon as I post one :)
Favorite Booktube Video
SarahSunbeamz did a Speech Jammer challenge reading of Fifty Shades of Grey and she was wearing this red robe in her bed with candles and I died laughing. It was AMAZEBALLS.
Just go watch it because if you need more explanation than that that you probably won't enjoy.
Favorite Youtube Video
Basically every single Augest video of Tyler Oakley's but i LIVE for the Tyler v. Zoella Disney Song guessing because I like to play with them and guess before they do. Sometimes I fail sometime I win but its hilarious to see how competitive they get
Favorite Video of Mine
I really love my The Last Bookstore | Let's Go Backwards video where I took all my footage from went to the last bookstore in LA and reversed all the clips. I just went a little artsy fartsy and I love how it turned out. It also was the last day I got to spend with all my girls at vidcon and so it just makes me happy to remember getting to meet and hang out with everyone :)
Favorite Songs
I'm still obsessing over You Know You like It by DJ Snake but I've recently started singing Cheerleader by OMI over and over again and I think Matt may murder me because of it. It's such a cute song as in the lyrics but the melody is also so fun and just GOOD. Pentatonix also did a cover of it so that always makes a song better in my opinion!
Favorite Beauty Product
I haven't talked about a favorite beauty product in a while but seeing as I ranted about a shitty skin care product recently I wanted to talk about what I used to fix me skin after that experience. I was using my Benefit Eye Cream on my eyes and cheekbones as well as neosporin around my nose. For the rest of my face I was using the Boots Botanics organic body moisturising lotion. Along with using a little cleanser form a new product line that a family friend has started (i unfortunately don't know the brand name but when I do I will add it in) instead of anything too rough on my skin like my clarisonic, my skin healed in about 3 days.
Favorite Thing I've Done or Accomplished
I got through my last first week of the year as an undergrad. Holy shit that is terrifying to acknowledge.
But I am proud to say that! I don't know what lies ahead (i know my next step after graduation but not the whole story) but I am excited to move forward and get my Bachelor's and actually be able to say I AM A COLLEGE GRADUATE. ITS SO CLOSE!

TBR | ALL THE ARCS and other things (aka September)
Currently Reading: Clockwork Princess Cassandra Clare
I'm LOVING the shadowhunters world on all accounts and can't wait to finish both TID and TMI series! Don't ask me which series I like more because they are both so good and so different and have their own qualities that for me I can't compare them or put them in a hierarchal order.
Also don't ask me if I'm Team Jessa or Wessa because I love both of them and am hoping for a polyamorous relationship. I'm not kidding. That is my dream for this love triangle.
TBR:
City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
Obviously if I have to finish TID then I have to finish TMI next! I cannot wait for COHF I have no doubt it will be glorious!
Then I have arcs on arcs to read so I'm going to go through these.
Cut Both Ways by Carrie Mesrobian (9/1/15)
Check the goodreads page here.
I received this arc at the book swap at Vidcon 2015.
This book is about a boy named Will who has his first kiss with his best friend Angus, so he's confused about whether or not he's gay. But then he meets a girl named Brandy and he really likes her so he knows he's not gay but he can't stop hooking up with Angus. Obviously this book is going to be frustrated since the main character is morally ambiguous, cheating on his girlfriend. It'll also be the first book I read with a bisexual character so I'm so interested about that as well! eep!
Echoes by Laura Tisdall (9/8/15)
Check the goodreads page here.
I was offered an arc copy of this book by the author for an honest review so keep an eye out on my channel for that. But this book sounds so good! It's about a female coder in high school who gets brought into some network of people who wants to expose corruption online. I is excite for this!
Zeroes by Scott Westerfeld (9/29/15)
Check out the goodreads page here.
The lovely Molly over at MagicalMolly sent me this book during a book swap, and she got the arc at BEA 2015.
I am a huge fan of Scott Westerfeld's Uglies series so when I heard he was coming out with a new series about kids with super powers i NEEDED it. The thing I find interesting about this series is that the superpowers our main characters have are all double edged - not always exactly helpful or happy powers. So the group of kids nicknamed themselves "the zeroes" hence the name of the book.
The Diviners by Libba Bray
Check out the goodreads page here.
Now this isn't an arc. But the bibliothon girls decided to read (some of us are rereading) this book together so we could all get to Lair of Dreams together and soon since it just came out! We're not sure if we'll be doing a liveshow for this book but if we do it will probably be in October so if you want to read with us follow any of us on twitter! we will at least be live tweeting ;)
A Madness so Discreet by Mindy McGuiness (10/6/15)
Check out the goodreads page here.
Once again, I received this arc during the book swap at Vidcon 2015.
Sierra got this arc the day before I did and I swear to god I considered stealing it from her and hiding it in my bag. Luckily I actually have a conscious and didn't do that :p
This book is a historical thriller about a woman put into an insane asylum and ends up assisting at crime scenes. I don't really know anything else about the story but it sounds SO GOOD.
I might end up reading this one in October because this is a lot of books to read. COHF itself is like 700 pages! So we will see!

Booktube-a-thon... wrap up? wait what??
So I was for sure planning to participate in the booktubeathon 2015! I set out my TBR and wrote a blog post about it. I started reading on Day one and I even managed to post the first challenge video on my challenge and link it in order to submit to win!
I even started writing my blog post reading wrap up:
"Day one
I even started writing my blog post reading wrap up:
"Day one
123 pages
Day two
Hof 125 pages
Queen of thetearling 9 pages (audio)"
and then day 2 happened and a couple things happened.
One: I just really love Grey's Anatomy and I started rewatching the entire series recently and could not stop. So I mostly watched netflix instead of reading at all ever
Two: Day one started out with a challenge from last year - the book dominoes. which I loved that they brought back and was like yeah i want to do it!
Then day two happened and it was also a challenge from last year... and i was like hmm.
And then day three happened and it was yet another challenge from last year so I was just like well are we going to get any new challenges? Cause I want to see if I can do something new!
Then the Movie Trailer challenge popped up in my feed and I started to get excited except I was just like how am I supposed to make anything decent in essentially 8 hours. Because they close the challenges at 9pm EST which is 6p PST so I have no time to think up, film, edit, and make something that is good.
So I didn't do it.
At this point I had decided already that I wouldn't be posting any more videos for Booktubeathon because I was disappointed.
I did like the chubby bunny idea but that and with the book stacking to your height my question in my head was How will they choose which video is the best? Particularly day seven's stacking contest... Will the tallest person who participates win? I'm confused.
Overall I just felt a little underwhelmed this year with the video challenges specifically seeing as we didn't get as many new ones, and some of the news ones didn't seem very competitive. The thing that I loved about Booktubeathon when it started was that the winners of the books weren't being chosen randomly like most giveaways are, and instead were chosen based on the quality of their challenge content. THATS AWESOME.
But I feel like they don't give us enough time to know what the challenges are to make content worthy of being uploaded. I don't want to make a fool of myself for these challenges, I want to make a quality video for my own viewers and to show what I can do to possibly win these challenges.
** I did forget that last year they did give us the video challenges ahead of time but that was not how you won a book. This year they didn't do separate giveaway challenges so maybe that's why they decided not to give the challenges ahead of time. I just think that was a poor decision**
Also if we're getting the challenges the same day WHEN DO I GET TO READ. Cause that's the whole point isn't it?
So that's why I didn't really participate in Booktubeathon this year. I really hope people don't read this and go oh she thinks she's so much better than everyone now because she runs a readathon too. This isn't about comparing the two, and I'm well aware that Booktubeathon is the biggest event of the year for book tube. I'm glad we have something like that! I just want it to be more awesome each year instead of less than last.

Game of Thrones Season 5 Finale Reaction and Thoughts (Mother’s Mercy)
SPOILERS BEWARE.
So this was a hard
episode. And we’ve had bloody epsiodes in the past. But I would say that often
times the death feels good. Thank god he’s dead (Joffrey) you know? This death
felt so…. Cowardly.
But let’s start at the
beginning of the episode because let’s be real SO MUCH SHIT HAPPENED. Warning:
things might not be completely in order.
We start with Stannis
and the repercussions of deciding to sacrifice his daughter to the Lord of
Light. Which was fucked up if we’re putting it simply. Like many of the
characters on this show, I don’t really like Stannis. I liked Renly the best
out of the Baratheon brothers, and Stannis takes fault for killing him so yeah.
Not a huge fan. I also don’t trust the
bitch in red. Melisandre. Ugh.
With that being said,
I was really hoping the Stannis would be able to take over Winterfell because
Ramsey… there are no words for the hate in my stomach for him. And I need Sansa
to be safe.
So we start the
episode off with some bad news: half of Stannis’ army has deserted and his wife
committed suicide. Honestly I didn’t
care that she was dead… but I knew it was bad news for the hope of Ramsey
losing to Stannis if he attempted to attack now. Which of course he did. I think he had given up on life.
Now of course Brienne
of Tarth has been waiting to save Sansa for so long and the moment that she
decides to leave in order to seek the revenge on Stannis is the moment Sansa
lights the candle in the highest tower. I was so disappointed with that moment,
but very happy that Brienne got to kill Stannis. That was a great moment.
I was so happy with
the rest of Sansa’s story in this episode though! Finally getting to not only
see Margaret get what she deserves but to have Theon do it – just throw her
over the side of the wall to the stone beneath. Oh my god I was like FUCK YEAH
BITCH. So great! And then we watch Theon
and Sansa jump off the wall of Winterfell together while holding hands. I am so
fucking excited to see that trust rebuild between them and Theon to help retake
Winterfell and do it right this time without his shitty dad’s thoughts in his
way.
Then there’s Arya’s
story. We finally get to watch her take
on a face from the many faced god. I
honestly could read a whole book on the beginnings of the many faced gods. We have watched this man in a whorehouse
asking for young girls and doing some fucked up whipping shit to them. Not a
good guy obviously. Oh and apparently he’s the guy that killed Arya’s sword
master in the past which I didn’t know!
So there’s this scene
where he has three girls standing in front of him and he whips them one by one
and they scream out but the third doesn’t react when he whips her and of course
it’s Arya. And Arya fucks him up! That
death is so gruesome and so deserving and I loved it so much.
But of course that
wasn’t what Arya was supposed to do so Jaqen and the girl who is “no one” come
up to her and it looks like they’re about to poison her because the balance has
to be restored but instead the guy takes the poison! What the fuck! Arya freaks
out and then suddenly the girl turns into the guy and says it’s just a face!
This part was really
confusing to me because I thought in order to become a face in the Hall of
Faces, you had to be dead, but the guy’s face is there, the girl’s face is
there, and in the end she lands on her own face on the dead body. So in order
to be attempting to become “no one” do you have to die? I’m so confused. And
then Arya goes blind, and I feel like that’s probably because she didn’t kill
the person she was supposed to and this is her punishment but I want to know
more about how this religion and magic works!
Then there’s Cersei. I
fucking love to hate Cersei. I think she’s so strong and powerful within
herself even though what she stands for are things I hate. So Cersei finally decides to tell the high
septon “all” her sins, but only confesses to her relations with her cousin. He says she will have to atone and stand
trial so we watch Cersei, clean and shaven head, walk naked through the
city. I watched this saying “keep your
head up Cersei. Keep your fucking head up. Don’t you dare show your weakness in
front of them.” And up until that fall I felt like she was right on the edge of
showing her shame.
See for me, I don’t
like this weird High Septon gets to dish out punishment. I know Cersei is the
idiot who opened up that possibility but my hatred for that tops my hatred for
Cersei. I didn’t want them to get the satisfaction of watching her break in
front of the city.
Then the fucking
Mountain shows up with a vow of silence and he looks blue under his helmet like
he’s going to look even worse now then he did before. Ugh.
We also watch Marcella
die after being poisoned by the kiss of the woman who already tried to kill her
once and I have to say I called it! The second that woman moved toward to kiss
her I was like DON’T DO IT SHE HAS POISON LIPS. She’s barely been able to look
at Marcella so why would she now want to kiss her farewell?
We need to talk about
Danaerys and the Dothrakis! I think that was her wedding ring from Drogo that
she let drop to the ground, and I’m really hoping that the Dothraki end up
helping her cause to become queen instead of doing something terrible to
her. It was such a cool scene watching
them all ride around her.
Okay it’s time to talk
about Jon and let me start off by saying that when you see the little sign that
says “Traitor” and then Jon turns around confused I announced “NO! I’m gonna cry!”
and proceeded to sob. Not just tears. Sobs. I couldn’t breathe. It was
awful. And then as it ended I just kept
saying well now there needs to be some great revenge. At this point I would be
totally happy to see the white walkers come into the Night’s Watch and kill
them. I know that’s awful to say but
they deserve to have fear in their eyes when they see the undead army come into
their stead. And all I’ll be thinking is “he told you. HE TOLD YOU SO and you
were too focused on past problems to realize there are scarier things in this world
than the fucking wildings!”
So needless to say
this episode was intense. And now I NEED to get my hands on A Dance with
Dragons because I wanted to read it before this season started and I didn’t get
to it so I really need to now to see if anything happens with a more positive
outcome or if anything is worse! Ugh.
Okay that’s all.
Comment down below with your feels on the GoT season finale. There’s a video coming soon to go along with
this post to when it’s up it’ll be linked here!

June TBR 2015.
My May wrap up is up on the youtubes so click here to watch!
The Biannual Bibliothon is coming this month June 21-27, so I will be uploading the specific TBR for that on my channel. If you want to check out the reading challenges click here!
But before the Bibliothon starts I do have some books I want to read!
I plan on finishing Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, because I started that during RYBSAT and put it down after to read The Darkest Part of the Forest.
I'm currently halfway through City of Glass by Cassandra Clare and I want to pick up book 4, City of Fallen Angels during June because that is the book the Mortal Readalong is on!
I'm also currently about a 4th of the way through the audiobook of American Gods by Neil Gaiman and I want to finish it by the time the LittleBookClub does their liveshow, because I would like to volunteer to participate :)
I would also love to pick up The Selection by Kiera Cass because everyone is fucking obsessed with it so it's about time I finally pick it up!
Wow... That's a lot of books and none of them are part of the TBR for the Bibliothon. Let's see if I can do it!
Comment what you're planning on reading this month :) Talk to you soon!

Why I Read.
If you're a reader you probably grasp what I'm talking about here when I say I feel what the characters feel.
Not just in "an outsider looking in attempting to be empathetic" way, like so many real situations are for me.
but as in "I am the one experiencing this pain and these pages show what I'm feeling here and now" way.
Today by reading a book I experienced the pain of losing a loved one by suicide and that may seem insane and rash to say, considering there are people who truly have had friends kill themselves, but for me during the three hundred and seventy eight pages of this book, it was ME who lost somebody.
I felt that same deep guttural emptiness that makes you sob with no sound because you don't have any air because you can't breathe because the person you love is dead.
And this is why I read.
I read to experience all of the hopes and loves and pains and sorrows that one can never get to in one lifetime
but by reading stories upon stories I get to live many lives.
I get to understand how to survive in a post apocalyptic world through courage, stubbornness, and sheer dumb luck.
I get to experience supernatural power, bloodletting, and romance.
I get to get inside of a serial killer's mind and see how a murderer chooses his kills.
I get to feel loss like I've never felt before. Cruelty like never before. Insanity like never before.
And of course I get to fall in love for the first time over and over. A feeling I never want to live without.
When I read I get to live many lives, instead of just one.
And this is why I read.
Not just in "an outsider looking in attempting to be empathetic" way, like so many real situations are for me.

APRIL WRAP UP.
In case you missed the announcement, all my wrap ups and TBRs will now be posted here! I might still do videos for them as well, it will just depend on the month. AKA it will depend on how worthy my list of books is because lord knows I haven't been reading many books per month lately.
But lets get on with this.
April. man this month was tough. It's the end of the semester (two more weeks people! holy shit) so I have been spending all my time writing papers and editing papers and reading articles for papers. good god it's been a drag.
But onto the books I read this month!
Actually let's start with March because I'm failing at reading lately lawl.
Deaf Like Me - Thomas Spradley *****
This is a nonfiction book about a family who finds out their youngest daughter is Deaf, and how to help her succeed in life. I just posted a spoiler free review of this book on my channel, and I HIGHLY recommend reading it, especially if you're interested in learning about the Deaf Culture.
City of Ashes - Cassandra Clare ****
I read City of Bones about a year ago, and really enjoyed it! Then I saw the movie and hated it so much that I ended up feeling hate toward the book as well, so never picked up the series. But now that I've become friends with Emma over at Emmmabooks it's a little difficult to hate something that she loves with such extreme passion. She and a billion other booktubers decided to do a monthly readalong of all the books in the series and I decided to join to get through this series.
It just so happens that I loved this book A LOT. I have some issues with the series. the main one is the amount of times Jace or some aspect of Jace is described as golden. Can we find a synonym for golden please? Thanks.
We're already moving into April guys. Like I said: it's been rough.
My Life Next Door - Huntley Fitzpatrick *****
guys. this book. oh my god it was beautiful. I picked it up on a whim because my sister has been bugging me to read it so i can give it back to her (borrowing books. ouch) and so I decided I could use some contemporary in my life after reading Throne of Glass and City of Ashes consecutively.
And oh my god talk about a wonderfully written story. I just recently made a video complaining about virginity and how it's dealt with in the YA genre, and then I read this and was like WOW well done! It was so realistic, and also the losing of the virginity was realistic which I adored.
I also was NOT expecting the surprise that happens near the climax to of course tear everything apart in order to be put back together (let's hope?) again! I'm always a fan of the author getting me without me expecting it.
And that's it. Seriously.
I'm currently reading Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas and loving it but i'm only half way through. how awful is that? I blame it on the 15 units of anthropology and linguistics courses I'm taking this semester.
Okay TBR time.
I'm participating in the #MortalReadaLong so I'll be reading City of Glass next month. you can check out their goodreads page here if you want!
Brittni from Brittni's Book Find and I are going to read the third book in the Throne of Glass series next month, and we also have a goodreads group so check that out here!
And then the bibliothon group also decided they wanted to read The Darkest Part of the Forest together as a little book club group. We're keeping this really chill and won't be doing any sort of liveshow or good reads group about it, we just want to read the same book at the same time!
That's all the books i have planned for May for sure. I have some books from the library I want to pick up (check out the instagrams) but who knows what I'll get through. As we've seen, school takes all the life out of me (laugh at my pain why don't you).

MOVIE REVIEW: The Duff
This is a
MOVIE review only. I have not read the book.
I don’t really plan on reading it, because from what I hear the movie is
a better plot line, and the book is not very good. So I probably won’t read it.
The plot line
of this movie was very Mean Girls-esque. I felt like I’m watching a new classic
form for the teenage girls of today.
THE PLOT.
The plot is
obviously very teeny. I mean the hot
friend who she’s known forever accidentally tells her she’s the Designated Ugly
Fat Friend, and then she gets mad at him, but then realizes that she should be
mad at her friends, and uses him to give her a make over. He’s not gay so obviously they will fall in
love by the end of this movie. But there’s a bad bitch in school who wants Hot
Guy Friend to be off limits to anyone but her so she wants to ruin DUFF’s life
because they’re hanging out together while he makes her over. I was not at all surprised by this movie.
THE WRITING.
Is what made
this movie so good. The lines were pure comedy, and everything revolving social
media just had me laughing so hard I cried.
THE
CHARACTERS.
Were also good. Especially those who were not leads. They
really made the movie; the teachers, the random kids who had a few lines, the
baddest bitch at school (antagonist) and her lackeys were all hilarious in the
way that they were so cliché, and it was obvious that that was on purpose.
I also loved
that while the DUFF’s friends were beautiful, they were true friends to her,
and so you wanted them to all make up after their fall out in the movie.
PRODUCTION.
I absolutely
loved that in the movie, there were little “drawings” on top of the scene as
the voiceover told the story. It was an excellent touch. My favorite scene in the entire movie is
after the DUFF gets a yes to go on a date with the guy she likes, she puts her
arms out like she’s queen of the world and fireworks are exploding behind her
and she’s just reveling in it. And then
it jerks back to reality and she’s back in the hallway at school. It just added a little extra to the movie.
DID I LIKE
IT?
Yes! I give
this movie a 4.5/5 stars; although it was obviously a story line that has been
done too many times to count, and the love story was predictable, it still had
me in tears from laughing, and I will definitely watch it again with friends!
It’s a very easy-going fun movie to watch.
